COMMON QUESTIONS

HOW ARE ASSOCIATION DUES COLLECTED?

GBPA has is it's own municipality within the confines of Westbrook, Connecticut.  At the Annual Meeting, the proposed mil rate as prepared by the Treasurer is voted upon by the Association Membership.


The appointed Tax Collector will generate Tax bills which are mailed to property owners based upon their Owner information as noted by the Town of Westbrook Assessors office.

Taxes are due July 1.  Further details in regards to the collection of Taxes can be reviewed in the Association Charter.

WHY DO WE ASK FOR YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION?

The GBPA BOG is constantly striving to maintain member information of all property owners.  This information is not shared with any sources outside the Association.  

We appreciate all who share their email and telephone contact information, as well as any alternative mailing addresses.


News and events are communicated to our members via email.  The BOG may need to reach out to a member should there be a concern about their property or some other issue.  Please contact us to update your contact information. 

WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT TRAFFIC WITHIN OUR ASSOCIATION?

The Westbrook Traffic Authority is very concerned with folks speeding through all associations in Westbrook, as well as running of Stop Signs and going up One Way Streets incorrectly.


The Westbrook Police are improving enforcement throughout the area and is watching for violators.

PLEASE DRIVE RESPONSIBLY THROUGHOUT OUR COMMUNITY.

  • Remember that the Speed limit is 20 miles per hour on our Association roads.

  • Be cautious of people, kids, cars, balls rolling into the street.

  • Remember that cars must be parked 25 feet from Stop Signs.

  • Kindly remind your neighbors and guests to be sensitive to the speed limit

We are very fortunate not to have any accidents or injuries on our property!

WILL THERE BE A 75TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY IN 2020?

Due to current COVID-19 situation, the 75th anniversary committee along with the Board of Governors has opted to postpone the party and events until 2021.  At which time we will celebrate "75+1".
